Lissewege, centre.

Driving over highway N31 from Brugge towards Zeebrugge you will drive trough the village of Lissewege. Near the Scharphoutstraat and at the side of the railroad you find some objects of this Stützpunkt.

From the road from behind some bushes you see a bunker type 502. Behind the private house at the railroad track there are more objects to be found. Please make sure that you have permission to visit the objects because they all lie in private gardens!

Lissewege, Patentestraat.
AOK 15, KVA 2, KV.Gr. Zeebrugge, Stp. 687E Eisenbahnbatterie Lissewege.

At the south west side of the village of Lissewege between the highway N31 and the Patentestraat, the location of the former Eisenbahnbatterie Lisswege lies in the fields.

All the railway tracks are gone, but via Google Earth you can see some impressions of the former track and when you are looking closely on the ground there are some small remains to be found.
Enter the area via the Patensestraat. Here you see most of the bunkers and also a house with in front a Fa building in red bricks. On top of the house the Leitstand for the battery was/is integrated.
In the fields at the other side of the road there are the St bunkers situated. Around the terrain there are also lots of smaller works like emplacements, shelters and storages.

Lissewege, Boudewijn canal.
AOK 15, KVA 2, KV.Gr. Zeebrugge, Fuel Reservoirs Lissewege.

Along the Boudewijn canal from Brugge towards Zeebrugge near the village Lissewege there are some fuel storage bunkers. You can come close to the tanks via the Beukemarestraat.

The building of the tanks was originally started up by the Belgium army and taken over by the Germans. They  modified the plans as soon as the occupation started. The tanks can contain about 6.000.000 litres of fuel in total. There are pump stations to pump the fuel in and from the tanks by a special underground pipeline towards Zeebrugge harbour.
