Gravelines / Petit Fort Philippe.
AOK 15, KVA B, KV.Gr. Gravelines, Stp. Kurt.

This large Stp. stretches from the village itself all the way towards the nuclear power-plant. The main location is at the north/east side of the village, near the nuclear power-plant and a camping. The other bunkers are spread along the coast towards the village centre.

All the bunkers are closed and some of them are hard to see. Two of the 502's personnel bunkers are on the property of the camping. The site is covered by some Tobruks, including a tobruk for a mortar. There are a lot of Vf. bunkers, probably for personnel but they were all closed and buried.
When you walk over the beach towards the village centre, you will find the other bunkers, like a 501 in the dunes.

Types:
3x 502 Twin group bunker.
2x 501 Group bunker.
1x 621 Group bunker.
1x Vf6a Observation post, shrapnel-proof.
1x Michelmannstand.
1x Vf toilet bunker.
1x Tobruk for mortar.
6x Vf bunkers.

Gravelines / Petit Fort Philippe.
AOK 15, KVA B, KV.Gr. Gravelines, Wn. Molenfuss Ost.

At the harbour entrance at the beginning of the pier lays a special Sk Hospital bunker. When you follow the coast line to the north you will encounter the Vf600c and behind this bunker inland lays the 134 ammo bunker.

The SK Hospital bunker is firmly closed but we were allowed to photograph the bunker with a special permission.
The bunker is divided in two parts and we only visited the hospital part. The other part is not open anymore. Inside the bunker lots of drawings and paintings still remain on the wall, at the entrances and in the operating-room. The drawings/paintings probably served as a distraction for the wounded soldiers who came to the hospital. The French authorities have preserved most of the drawings by putting a plastic plate over the drawings. There are also some other instructions and text written on the wall. At the entrance is a nice construction built to store the stretchers.

Types:
1x Sk. Hospital, with art section
1x Vf600v Gun 5cm KwK 39.
1x 134 Ammunition bunker I.
Gravelines, est.

South-east of Gravelines, near the area called Barague Mathieu, there are two large 669 casemates visible in a field. Coming from the N1, around Gravelines into the direction of Oye-Plage, at the junction with the D11, take a small road (not the D11) into the fields From there it is a little bit of a search, but eventually you will see the bunkers clearly in the field.

The two St. bunkers, 669 casemates are/were camouflaged as a house, see the saddled roof. The one with the stairs on the outside wall has a Flak emplacement on the roof. Around those two big ones lots of smaller bunkers/buildings were built. Wellblech, small shelters for probably personnel. Two larger Vf. bunkers probably for ammunition. In the middle of the battery is a strange bunker; a Vf. bunker with an emplacement or socle on its roof. There are also 4 open emplacements were the guns were positioned before they were 'bunkered' in the 669's. Only two of the originally four guns were put into a 669 casemate.

Types:
1x 669 Embrasured emplacement for field gun (60º) without annexes.
1x 669 Embrasured emplacement for field gun (60º) without annexes + Flak emplacement.
4x Gun emplacement.
3x Wellblech shelter.
2x Vf shelter.
1x Vf shelter with socle/emplacement on roof.
>5 Fa shelter.

Gravelines, Le Cochon noir.
AOK 15, KVA B, KV.Gr. Gravelines, Stp. Lilie.

West of Gravelines, near the supermarket (Super U), lays a beautiful command bunker type 117. The bunker is located in the area between the crossing of the N1 and the D119. The bunker is on private property, so ask for permission.

The bunker, a 117 command bunkers has still its 'gittertüre' or outside doors, lots of sliding doors, armoured parts and much more. The bunker is clean and dry so it is nicely preserved. Around the command bunker are several other lighter constructions built, such as a water well (storage building) and a brick building for personnel.

Types:
1x 117a Battalion & Regimental battle headquarters.
1x Water storage.
1x Barrack.
1x Unknown bunker.
Gravelines, ouest.
AOK 15, KVA B, KV.Gr. Gravelines, Stp. Muräne.

This small location can be found south/west of Gravelines. At the crossing of the N1 and the D218, follow the D218 towards St. Folquin. Turn right at the first possibility, follow that road and eventually you will see the bunker (669) located under an electricity cable, in a field.

The bunker is made of pre-fabricated blocks filled later on with concrete (Formsteine). The bunker is also damaged and very ugly. Next to the 669 casemate, in the second bush, lies a hidden emplacement. There is a small corridor to the emplacement that can be visited. Note the shooting/observation hole in the wall. In the area we found two buildings that perhaps could be German, but we are not sure. We couldn't visit the two for further research.

Types:
1x 669 Embrasured emplacement for field gun (60º) without annexes.
1x Gun emplacement.
2x Unknown structures.
Gravelines, ville.
AOK 15, KVA B, KV.Gr. Gravelines, Stp. Gravelines.

In the middle of the old city, just along one of the walls of the old 19e fortifications on the Rue de Calais, you will find a big command bunker type 119.
At the front you see a part of the bunker, but when you go to the backside, you will see more of its size. The entrance lays probably on the private terrain in the front of the bunker.
West of Gravelines, along the D119 towards the roundabout and the crossing with the N1, and next to some car dealers, two Tobruks are located. One of them is for a tank-turret and the other one is probably a regular 58c tobruk.

Types:
1x 119 Battery commander's bunker.
1x Tobruk67 for tank turret.
1x Tobruk58c.
Gravelines, ville
AOK 15, KVA B, KV.Gr. Gravelines, Train bridge.

Along one of the ways out of the old inner city at the Quai de la Battelerie, you will find an old train bridge. Next to this bridge some concrete blocks are laying. We don't know their function, but assume that they had something to do with defending the old bridge.
When you stay at the city side of the bridge, you see a big, old electricity tower standing in a park. Inside that park, at the water front, a Tobruk is located.

Types:
1x Set of concrete blocks.
1x Tobruk58c.
