Ecqueville
This town can be found north of the airfield along the D940 leading from Le Havre in the direction of Etretat.
In the town you can drive in the direction of the coast, you will find the battery at the "Impasse des Primeveres". This battery is still very complete and in a excellent condition and looks very beautiful, especially the Leitstand (fire-control post) with two floors looks very impressive. Most of the bunkers can be entered but some of them lay on private property and you will need to ask for permission. Inside the casemates you can find text about the ammunition: "Gr. Ldg. 17.500" and "Mittl. 15.200", this is the range of the shells, heavy charge: 17.500m and medium charge: 15.200m.
There are also some nice remains of concrete camouflage on the 671's.
Highlights of this location are the tunnels that connects the casemates with each-other and with the fire-control post. Inside the tunnels there are rooms for personnel with the names "Cacilie II" and "Emilie I", there are also rooms for a aggregate and a tobruk, the tunnels are still in an excellent condition and are now used by the new owner. There is also a nice Vf. on his terrain with some nice camouflage paint. Last but not least is the fire-control post, the two upper floors can be reach by a very dangerous and wrecked ladder but the condition of those two floors is poor because it is open for the wind and rain, the bunker is specially constructed, "Sonderkonstruction" (Sk).
Around the battery you can find some Vf, bunkers who are fully covered with sand and a tobruk for a tank-turret. In the direction of the coast you can find a Flak open emplacement with a small ammunition room next to it.
