Drive at the south side of IJmuiden over the Heerenduinweg towards the coast. When you are passing at your right hand (north) some football fields, you have on the other side of the road a official opening in the fence to get into the dune area. The problem is, there is no parking place nearby so you have to park somewhere else and walk back to this spot.
When you enter the dune area and walk to the right and follow the path you will encounter a huge FL246 ammunition bunker, the second one is demolished. Walk further over the old German road and you finish at a lookout point. From here you have to walk down the slope in the "clock direction between 11 and 12 hours", where you will see the beautiful Walzkörpersperre nr 111 with tank wall and tank ditch and 676 bunker. Some smaller items are situated around this location.
Back at the lookout point, you can find more items between this point and the Fl246 in the direction of the sea, like special Tobruks type STS with walls of 60cm instead of 40cm concrete and equipped with 5cm mortar type 210(f) from the French Maginot line. There are also several parts of covered trenches to sea connecting the objects.
From the four 10.5cm SK/C32 Anti Aircraft guns is just a small part of one of the emplacement to see.
This Widerstandsnest was a combination of a Marine Flak Batterie and a Infantry position as part of the Landfront defence line at the Walzkörpersperre.
