Overmeer, Sluis 't Hemeltje.
Dutch defence line from 1940, Vesting Holland, Front Oost, Overmeer, Sluis 't Hemeltje.

Coming from Vreeland or Hilversum over the N201 at the crossing with N523 where the Dutch Fort Kijkuit stands, drive towards Overmeer over the N523. After 1 km you will find a small lock called "Sluis 't Hemeltje" where next to the lock lies a Pyramide bunker.

Overmeer, "Overmeer 1935".
Dutch defence line from 1940, Vesting Holland, Front Oost, Overmeer, "Overmeer 1935".

Drive further on over the N523 towards Overmeer and on your right hand you will see a beautiful Dutch VIS-kazemat called "Overmeer 1935".
The kazemat is in good shape and if there are no animals in the meadow it is possible to visit it. You can see its tactical position, higher than the surroundings and looking over to the location of Sluis t' Hemeltje and further on to Fort Kijkuit, covering there backside and the lowlands around it.

Overmeer, Meerlaan.
Dutch defence line from 1940, Vesting Holland, Front Oost, Overmeer, Meerlaan.

At the edge of the village of Overmeer, along the Meerlaan at a manage, stands a Pyramide bunker. We were not able to get close to or inside the bunker.
