In one of the parks in the city of Middelburg, called "Toorenvliedt" at the Koudekerkse weg, is to find a Batt. HQ.

The German's build this HQ. in the park and know a days most of the bunkers a hard to see because of all the green leaves, so you better go for this location in early spring or late autumn. It's build around a old landhouse/castle that was standing already in the park. They build several 608 and 622 bunkers in "formsteine", but not all of them with a Tobruk integrated and therefore they look really diverge when you are standing in front of them.
The 618 Batt. Command Post is in 2009 been opened, cleaned and prepared for public, by a foundation in the province Zeeland, that has already restored several other bunkers. We had the nice opportunity to have a private visit, thanks!.

Westkapelle
AOK 15, KVA 1, Freie Küste Walcheren, Stp. Freischütz, Vliss-West 013.

Outside the village Westkapelle at the Prelaatweg the former Stützpunkt Freischütz is located. The bunkers are laying on a farm yard and also here you have to ask permission in advance.
The telephone bunker 616 is a nice one, accept that is has been burnt partly inside. But inside is still good to see where equipment was hanged on the wall. The walls are still decorated with original wood and plate work what is really exceptional to find.

Westkapelle
AOK 15, KVA 1, Freie Küste Walcheren, Stp. Hötzendorf, Vliss-West 015.

Outside the village of Westkapelle is located this stützpunkt at the Pauluswegeling on private property. When you ask permission in advantage you probably get it.
Most of the gun casemates on the island of Walcheren got there "shell pit" besides the bunker instead of under the bunker. The reason here for was the problematic watermark on the island.

Westkapelle
AOK 15, KVA 1, Freie Küste Walcheren, Stp. von Seeckt, Vliss-West 020.

Between the villages Zoutelande and Meliskerke at the crossing of the Sint Janskerke and Blaauwvoorteweg you see, in the meadow, two nice bunkers of the type 611.

Serooskerke
AOK 15, KVA 1, Freie Küste Walcheren, Paulinenburg.

Between the village Serooskerke and Grijpkerke at the Hondegemseweg, on the property of one the farmers, are two bunkers in "formsteine" to find. Please ask permission before you enter the property!
One of the bunkers is changed into a storage for dung (cow shit) and therefore it is not accessible and it has some changes to close the openings of the bunker. In front of the entrance together with the Tobruk, they build a relief for the dung that's coming out of the bunker.

Zoutelande
AOK 15, KVA 1, Freie Küste Walcheren, Stp. Lohengrin, Vliss-West 022.

On the east side of the village Zoutelande along the Duinweg and in the dunes lays the Stp. Lohengrin.

Near the "Schelppad" and the Hotel is a way up to the "Bunkermuseum Zoutelande", that's situated in a 502 and also in a 143 bunker with a nice cupola on top. Nearby the 143 is a 501 bunker but is very hard to find and at the west side of the museum bunker is on private property a other 502 to find. Further along the Duinweg and behind a private holiday home lays a 501 bunker that's connected to the house.

Buttinge
AOK 15, KVA 1, Freie Küste Walcheren, Stp. Barbarossa.

Near the small village Buttinge along the Walcherseweg and in the shadow of a wind turbine laying two bunkers of type 611. They are laying on private property so when you ask in advance you will get permission to visit the bunkers.

Zoutelande
AOK 15, KVA 1, Freie Küste Walcheren , Stp. Rheingold, Seezielbatterie Zoutelande M.A.A. 202.

On the west side of the village Zoutelande behind a big camping complex along the dunes, remains the last bunker of the Seezielbatterie Zoutelande, a FL 246 Ammunition bunker.

At the crossing of the Grindweg and the Meisesweg you will find a small public walking path between the camping's in the directions of the dunes. Get into the path and walk a 100 meters and then go left and after 50 meters along the bicycle path you see the bunker.
