Verteidigungsbereich (VB) Vlissingen, Kernwerk, Pz.Stp. Nettelbeck III, Vlissingen 014.

The bunkers are on the terrain of a fire-fighter training centre near the Buitenhaven at the "Oosterhavenweg" in the south/east side of the harbour. Notice the bunkers are on private property and the training facility is not always open for public so ask for permission.

Most of the bunkers have been demolished, nowadays some of the bunkers are buried and inaccessible. The famous 114A observation bunker with its beautiful cupola is overlooking the harbour. We could peek trough one of the 6 openings with a smaller camera, the fire-directions are marked inside the cupola with colours and numbers.
The other bunker is a 633 bunker for an M19 mortar in a cupola, only the cupola (nowadays in white) is visible in the centre of the training facility.
On the water side in front of the M170 from the M.K.B. Kernwerk lays Tobruk 64d (216) for flamethrower.
There are also two bunkers from an early Dutch design, the G-casemate, a small bunker with a cast steel cupola for an Mg. The bunkers are restored by the foundation 'Bunkerbehoud', see there website www.bunkerbehoud.nl.

Types:
1x 114A 6 Embrasured turret emplacement, constructed in "A".
1x 633 Emplacement for M19.
1x Tobruk 64d for a flamethrower.
2x G-casemate, re-used by the Germans

Vlissingen
Verteidigungsbereich (VB) Vlissingen, Kernwerk, Pz.Stp. Nettelbeck I, Vlissingen 015.

The bunker can be found near the 'Eerste Binnenhaven', follow the road into the industrial zone around the harbour. The bunker, a 630 Mg. bunker lies at the terrain of a metal/steel company, note that the bunker is normally closed; the owner was kind enough to move the steel plates that covers the entrance but the entrance is now covered again!!

The bunker is covering the harbour, the inside looks terrible, and it has completely burned out and is filed with rubbish. But there are still some texts left and the steel covering plate for the MG is still present although re-painted in a nasty colour.

Types:
1x 630 Embrasured MG emplacement with armoured plating.

The bunkers are partly on the terrain of a fire-fighter training centre near the Buitenhaven at the "Oosterhavenweg" in the south/east side of the harbour. You can also reach the bunkers from a other side if you come from the 'Oosterlijkebermweg', the bunkers lay on the dike and if you follow the dike you can see all the bunkers.
