Wassenaar, Wassenaarseslag.

At the north side of Den Haag/Scheveningen lies the village Wassenaar with a entrance to the beach at the Wassenaarseslag.

At this point are some remains left, but most of them are covered with sand and are behind barred wires where you are not allowed to come.
The restaurant "de Badmeester" lies on the former bunker for a for Pak 4,7cm anti tank gun. A little bit more inland and along the walking/cycles path lies a bunker that was a kitchen combined with a water storage. Some parts of the building are demolished. Just beside this building is a other water storage building situated.
When you follow the walking path for about 3oo meters you can see on the right the observation tower, that was build together with a Vf52a bunker. You are not allowed to enter this terrain!
In the same area are still more objects located and connected with each other by tunnels and corridors. In the winter time there are bats housing and because of some bad construction parts of the tunnels, visits are not longer possible.

On your way up to the beach entrance at the Wassenaarseslag you will pass on your right and left side some other bunker complexes. When left the roundabout you see on your left some meadow in a lower landscape and after 500 meters you see a service road to the left.

In this area behind barred wires is lies the former Baupunkt 202 with a Artillerieabteilunsgefechtsstand. You are not allowed to enter this area and there are big animals walking freely.

After the war during the Cold Ware era this complex, called "De Klip" was first used by the Dutch Air Force and later on when the Air Force left the complex it was a "Noodzetel" (crisis centre) for the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sports (WVC)
