Hemnskjel.

Coming from Sunde on the 714, just after you've passed the bridge and just before you go into a tunnel, there is a turn towards Hemnskjel. Follow that road and first you'll pass the HQ/museum. From there turn to the left towards a smaller harbour; the bunkers lay on the slope of the nearby hill. Ask permission to visit the bunkers, they are on private property and there are some cows.

The battery has four emplacements for the huge 21cm Morser (mortar). The emplacements have additional niches for ammunition and the crew was housed in several  Vf personnel bunkers. The bunkers are beautiful constructed in the hill and notice all the original wooden parts inside the bunkers. One of the 21cm mortars is to be found at the bigger harbour of Hemnsjkel, more to the north. See datasheet Battery North.
The fire control bunker is located on the large hill to the west; you must take another road to come closer. The road leading up the hill ends after a few hundred meters and you'll have to walk to the top for about 20min. (See GPS data for exact location). The bunker, in  Vf strength, is overlooking the entire area with all its fjords and mountains, very beautiful! Somebody placed a guestbook inside the bunker which is a nice idea.

Coming from Sunde on the 714, just after you've passed the bridge and just before you go into a tunnel, there is a turn towards Hemnskjel. Follow that road and first you'll pass the HQ/museum. Take the first road to the right after you've passed the museum, follow it and the two cannons will be on your right, near the harbour. The battery is on your right as well, a few hundred meters further down the road.

One of the two cannons that are nowadays placed at the harbour site is the 21cm mortar from Battery South. The second gun we think is a 10,5cm field gun. Due to bad weather we didn't visit the battery properly; we only took some pictures from a dry distance…

Coming from Sunde on the 714, just after you've passed the bridge and just before you go into a tunnel, there is a turn towards Hemnskjel. Follow that road and first you'll pass the HQ/museum on your left hand, just after you've passed a big farm. The bunker is a museum and so it is normally closed. If you are lucky it is open and otherwise just asks the farmer like we did.

The bunker is a type 117a commando bunker, except they only build half the bunker so it's a Sk build. The inside is a small museum with some nice info and settings. The bunker is connected to a Tobruk by a small passage, the Tobruk has nowadays a tank-turret on top but they don't know for sure if that is like it was during the war.
